A rare and captivating scene that sparks curiosity and excitement in the eyes of young children. On heart screening missions to remote schools, familiar classrooms unexpectedly transform into rural screening clinics, ensuring timely heart checkups for all the children.
In the chilly year-end weather, Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise, alongside doctors from the Cardiovascular Center – E Hospital traveled through winding roads to Mai Chau District, Hoa Binh Province. The team reached over 10 schools, screening 2,500 children for congenital heart defects and identifying five children in urgent need of surgery.
Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise extends its heartfelt gratitude to “Heo Dat MoMo” community for standing by our side during the August 2024 fundraising campaign, which made this free heart screening project in remote areas possible. A special thanks also goes to Vietnam Airlines for the generous donation of miles, helping our team bring this life-saving program to the children.
