From 30 June to 25 July 2025, a 22-member volunteer team from Carabins Toulousains Pour le Vietnam (ACTV), in collaboration with the Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise (VCF SE), embarked on a deeply meaningful medical journey across Vietnam, beginning in Ho Chi Minh City, then moving on to Tri Ton (An Giang), Da Nang City, and concluding in Dong Giang.
Over four consecutive weeks, our students visited hospitals and worked alongside local medical professionals to perform basic health screenings, measuring blood pressure, checking vital signs, and more.
Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise also delivered tooth-brushing workshops for children at social welfare centers and local medical centers, held a first-aid exchange between French and Vietnamese medical students, and conducted community health screenings in remote areas.
During the second week in Tri Ton, VCF SE donated 100 packages of rice, cooking oils and fish sauce, including donation of medication to the Tri Ton Medical Center.
In the third week in Dong Giang, VCF SE distributed 200 care packages to children receiving treatment and vitamins in support. Despite our brief time in each location, we reached hundreds of families, bringing vital care, knowledge, and hope to pediatric wards, shelters, and rural communities.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our volunteers, the local health facilities, and all of our partners – especially ACTV for joining VCF SE on this journey of learning, connection, and lasting impact.
