Shared from Z1 with Nhu Y’s story:
“Can Tho, August 24, 2025 – In a small house nestled in the heart of the Mekong Delta, 8-month-old Nhu Y breathes softly, her delicate frame belying the fierce battle she has fought since birth. Diagnosed with single ventricle heart disease moments after entering the world, her life has been a marathon of medical interventions, resilience, and unwavering familial love.
Today, Nhu Y requires a life-saving open-heart surgery – estimated at 170 million VND – at Ho Chi Minh University Medical Hospital. Her father, a seasonal farmhand and construction worker, earns 250,000 VND daily when work is available. Her mother left her job at a clothing store to care for her full-time. The family now leans on the modest incomes of her grandparents, a security guard and a nanny, who live at their workplaces to save rent.
Since 2017, Z1 Team has partnered with Heartbeat Vietnam and Scar Of Life, witnessing firsthand the courage of children fighting congenital heart disease and the profound strength of their families.
This year, alongside Vietnam Children’s Fund, Z1 raise 36,500,000 VND to cover one child’s heart surgery.
Each donation, no matter the size, stitches hope into the fabric of a child’s future.”
