On September 25, 2025, Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise, in collaboration with the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training and sponsor Crossian Vietnam, has handed over four reverse osmosis (RO) purified water filtration systems with a capacity of 150 liters per hour to four schools in the province, including:

  • Hoang Van Tho Kindergarten (Chan Thinh Commune)

  • Semi-boarding Primary School No. 2 Lung Than (Lung Phinh Commune)

  • Hoang Thu Pho Semi-boarding Primary and Secondary School (Bac Ha Commune)

  • Primary and Secondary School No. 1 Hong Ca (Hung Khanh Commune)

Earlier, on September 3, 2025, Crossian Vietnam and Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to implement the project “Clean Water and Safe Sanitation for Children in Lao Cai Province.”

To date, the four water filtration systems have been installed and handed over for official use.

These systems will provide direct drinking water that meets Ministry of Health standards for 1,342 students and 116 teachers, helping improve both health and learning conditions for children in the area.

Clean water is fundamental to sustainable development, yet in many mountainous regions like Lao Cai province, access to safe water remains a challenge.

With difficult terrain, deteriorating water facilities, and high costs for water supply, many households are forced to rely on temporary or unsafe sources, exposing residents—especially children—to serious health risks.

With the newly installed filtration systems, students and teachers can now access clean water directly from the tap, meeting 11 physicochemical and 5 microbiological standards.

This practical solution helps prevent waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid fever, and E. Coli infections.

In addition, Crossian Vietnam also presented children with playground equipment such as seesaws and swings, along with warm winter clothing, blankets, and mattresses—bringing both safety and warmth to the mountainous schools.
