With support from ChanChan Noodle, the Congenital Heart Defects Screening, a program of Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise, continued its journey to bring heart screenings to children in need – this time, to the mountainous province of Lao Cai.
From September 12–14, 2025, the program carried doctors, medical equipment, small gifts, and a shared commitment to reaching children born with congenital heart defects in remote areas.
Over three days of free screening at the regional medical centers in Bao Yen, Bat Xat, and Sa Pa, the program listened to the heartbeats of 585 young children, identifying 11 cases of congenital heart defects and 6 requiring surgical intervention.
