In early March 2025, Vietnam Children’s Funds Social Enterprise and VinaCapital Foundation embarked on a humanitarian journey named Disaster Relief through winding mountain roads to reach Thach Lam commune, Cao Bang province, where access to healthcare remains limited.

The activity, part of the Disaster Relief program, was implemented in collaboration with the Cao Bang Department of Health, Bao Lam District People’s Committee, and the Bao Lam District Medical Center, aiming to deliver essential medical support to communities recovering from Typhoon Yagi.

The mobile clinics were implemented in two phases, on March 8–9 and March 22–23, 2025, across Duc Hanh, Nam Cao, Thach Lam, and Thai Son communes. Throughout the mission, the medical professionals and volunteers provided health check-ups and consultations for 487 children and 970 adults, along with 372 ultrasound and screening cases.

All participants received free medical examinations, diagnoses, and medication. In addition, Disaster Relief program distributed 246 sets of children’s clothing and 449 sets of adult clothing to families in Duc Hanh commune, bringing warmth and comfort to those in need.

Vietnam Children’s Funds Social Enterprise and VinaCapital Foundation extends our heartfelt gratitude to all partners, sponsors, healthcare professionals, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the program.

Vietnam Airlines, the Official Transportation Sponsor, played a vital role in ensuring the safe travel of the project team to remote highland areas, helping deliver timely support and compassion to those affected by the disaster.

Disaster Relief journey is more than a medical mission — it is a journey of empathy and solidarity, connecting hearts and empowering highland communities to rebuild their lives with hope and resilience.
