“Initiated by the T3 HEALING Quantum Center in collaboration with kind-hearted donors and the Scar of Life program by Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise, the Live with Heart campaign aims to raise funds to support life-saving heart surgeries for disadvantaged children born with congenital heart defects — giving them a healthy heart and a fair chance to grow up like any other child.
Launched in April 2020, the campaign has so far raised funds to save 16 children and is continuing its journey to support the 17th heart.
How do we awaken the POWER of the HEART?
The simplest way is to start by being grateful for our own heart — a priceless gift within each of us.
But for so long, we’ve often ignored it while chasing things outside of ourselves.
We, the ones fortunate enough to watch the documentary “The Power of the Heart,” understand this more deeply than anyone. We appreciate and honor our hearts and feel truly blessed.
Yet gratitude alone is not enough — the most powerful way to awaken the heart is through compassion and love.
After listening to the song “If One Day I Fly to the Sky” by Truc Nhan, we were deeply touched by a story of two boys, both suffering from congenital heart disease.
One of them was fortunate enough to receive financial sponsorship for surgery and was waiting for his operation. But his friend was not as lucky.
Witnessing his friend’s worsening condition, the boy asked his parents for permission to give up his surgery so that his friend could live. He offered the opportunity to his friend, knowing that it meant he would be the one to leave — to fly to the sky.
This story touched our hearts profoundly. It inspired us to establish the “Live with Heart” Fund — so that many more children living in poverty with congenital heart defects may have a chance to survive, especially those still waiting for surgery.
In Vietnam, without surgery, many children with heart defects do not survive past the age of 18. Every year, thousands of children are diagnosed, but many never receive timely intervention — or are never diagnosed at all.
That’s why we started this campaign, with the modest goal of raising 36,500,000 VND — the average cost of one heart surgery (from December 1, 2023; previously, the cost was 28,000,000 VND).
Just one surgery can save a life.
