In Vietnam, each year approximately 2,500 children under the age of 19 are diagnosed with cancer, joining more than 40,000 children who fight for their lives every day. Yet, only 30% of these children have a chance of survival – a stark contrast to the average survival rate of over 80% in developed countries (WHO).
On February 15th, International Childhood Cancer Day, a global event to raise awareness of pediatric cancer, we reflect on the courageous journey of these children and their families as they fight for survival. Faced with mounting challenges – from costly medical treatments to economic hardship – many families are burdened with overwhelming financial and emotional strain as their children battle this devastating illness.
To help ease this burden, the Vietnam Children’s Fund, in collaboration with MoMo, has launched a fundraising campaign to support the medical treatment costs of children from disadvantaged backgrounds. This campaign not only alleviates the financial strain but also brings hope and reassurance to these children and their families on their arduous journey to recovery.
100% of donations made through MoMo will be directly used to cover the cancer treatment costs of these children. Every contribution you make brings a ray of hope to their future.
