Vietnam is among the most disaster-prone countries in the worldam is among the most disaster-prone countries in the world, facing recurring typhoons, floods, landslides, and severe storms each year. The central and northern regions are especially vulnerable, where natural disasters repeatedly disrupt lives, damage critical infrastructure, and place enormous pressure on healthcare systems. Children and families in rural and remote communities are often the most exposed to these impacts.
Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise committed to sustainable and long-term community impact, recognizes that effective disaster response goes beyond short-term relief. In many areas, local communes lack sufficient capacity to respond to urgent healthcare needs, leaving vulnerable populations at heightened risk.
Through Disaster Relief program, Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise works closely with local authorities and community partners to deliver coordinated and timely assistance.
The program focuses on three key pillars:
(1) providing essential relief supplies to families affected by storms and floods;
(2) organizing medical outreach clinics to support urgent and ongoing healthcare needs;
(3) assisting in the restoration and recovery of community facilities.
Disaster Relief program is implemented in phases. The initial phase prioritizes emergency response and the distribution of essential supplies, ensuring immediate humanitarian needs are met. This is followed by targeted recovery and rebuilding activities, tailored to the extent of local damage, and aimed at strengthening community resilience and restoring access to essential healthcare services.
Every contribution, regardless of size, plays a meaningful role in helping children and families recover from disasters. In addition to monetary donations, Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise also welcomes in-kind contributions of essential goods and medicines, which remain urgently needed in affected areas. Together, we can help vulnerable communities rebuild, regain stability, and move forward with resilience.
