On May 17, 2025, the Scar of Life program had the opportunity to visit five children who received support for heart surgery at the University Medical Center in Ho Chi Minh City. They were joined by the family of director, producer, and actress Ngo Thanh Van – Ambassador of the Heartbeat Vietnam program – along with entrepreneur Huy Tran.
Among the little hearts that have just been healed was T.P., a heart transplant recipient who also received support from the program. Thanks to funds raised from the Scar of Life 11 gala dinner event, contributions from fundraising partners, sponsors, and the Health Insurance Fund, T.P. underwent a successful heart transplant surgery. Now, that little heart is recovering day by day, beginning a bright and hopeful journey of childhood anew. Scar of Life extends heartfelt gratitude to the donor family, doctors, medical staff, benefactors, and supporters who together gave the child a new chance at life.
Over 11 seasons of organizing, with more than 3,000 children supported for surgery costs – these are miracles, the very shape of dreams given wings. On this loving journey, Scar of Life sends sincere thanks to director, producer, and actress Ngo Thanh Van – who initiated the Scar of Life fundraising event, serving as both an inspiration and a steadfast heart accompanying children with congenital heart disease from disadvantaged backgrounds.
With the companionship of compassionate hearts, Scar of Life believes many more miraculous stories will be written – so that each young heartbeat is revived, and every childhood dream has the chance to rise and shine.
