Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children is currently facing many challenges as it only has one outdated retinal examination device, making the process of screening and diagnosing eye diseases in newborns difficult, especially retinopathy — one of the leading causes of permanent blindness in premature babies.
The “Receive lucky money via QR – Join hands to bring the first light to newborns” program was created to raise funds for donating a modern retinal examination device with an integrated camera, worth 200 million VND, to Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children. This new equipment will bring hope to hundreds of thousands of babies, allowing timely diagnosis and treatment to prevent them from facing a lifetime of darkness.
