Fear crept in long before Gia Khang was even born, when doctors suspected he might have a congenital heart condition. Although he arrived full-term, the bluish tint of his skin marked the beginning of a journey filled with uncertainty. During his first eight months of life, this resilient little boy underwent multiple medical examinations and regular follow-up appointments. In May 2026, Gia Khang was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot and urgently required heart surgery, with treatment costs reaching VND 120 million.

ehind his journey was the unwavering love of his parents, who carried the weight of countless challenges. His mother stayed home to care for Gia Khang and his baby sister, while his father struggled to support the family through temporary jobs, all while coping with the pain of kidney stones. Yet through every hardship, they never stopped believing that their son would one day get better.
Thanks to the generosity of Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun, a community of supporters of Mun Hyeon-jun (Oner), and through the Scar Of Life program, Gia Khang received the life-changing opportunity to undergo heart surgery in time.

When meeting his sponsors, Gia Khang filled the room with laughter through his adorable antics. Like many babies his age who are teething, he eagerly searched for anything within reach to chew on, from toys to everyday objects. It was an ordinary childhood moment, yet one that meant everything to his family. After months of fear and uncertainty, they were finally able to watch their little boy grow, play, and explore the world just like any other child.
This joyful milestone belongs not only to Gia Khang’s family, but also to everyone who helped make it possible. Our heartfelt thanks to Mun Hyeon-jun’s community of supporters and all our partners for joining Scar Of Life in bringing hope and the chance of a healthier future to Gia Khang.
