From March 20 to 22, 2026, Vietnam Children’s Fund, in partnership with the Cardiovascular Center of Hospital E and sponsor Studio68, conducted free congenital heart screenings for children in Bac Ha, Muong Khuong, and Y Ty in Lao Cai Province.

In Y Ty, some families walked 6 to 7 km from early morning to reach the screening site. For many children, the journey meant traveling there and back in a single day. Despite the distance, families made every effort so their children could be examined and receive timely care.

During the trip, 1,512 boxes of Vinasoy soy milk were distributed to the children. In addition to receiving milk at the screening sites, each child was given a few extra boxes to take home for the journey back.

Over three days, 857 children were screened. The program identified 38 cases of congenital heart defects, including 22 children in need of surgery or intervention in the near future.

We sincerely thank the Lao Cai Department of Health, the Cardiovascular Center of Hospital E, and our sponsors Studio68 and Vinasoy for their support.

Each screening helps more children receive early diagnosis and appropriate care. The continued support of partners and donors makes it possible to bring these services to more communities.
