The Congenital Heart Defects Screening program, implemented by the Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise, continued its journey to Son La, bringing medical professionals and essential healthcare services closer to children in remote and underserved areas, where many congenital heart conditions remain undetected.
Over two days, from December 13 to 14, 2025, at Son La General Hospital, the program listened to the heartbeats of 146 children and identified 20 cases of congenital heart defects, including 7 cases that required more advanced medical intervention.
