In September 2026, with support from iSMART Education, Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise has implemented the “Clean Water for Children” project, providing five reverse osmosis (RO) drinking water filtration systems, each with a capacity of 150 liters per hour, to five schools in Can Tho City, Dong Thap Province, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak Province, and Lao Cai Province. The total value of the sponsorship is VND 1.158 billion.

The water filtration systems were handed over to the following schools:
• Nga Sau Town Primary School, Can Tho City on August 11, 2026.
• Tan Long Primary School, Dong Thap Province on August 12, 2026.
• Minh Thanh Primary School, Ho Chi Minh City on August 18, 2026.
• Ea Bar Primary School, Dak Lak Province on August 21, 2026.
• Tung Chung Pho Primary and Lower Secondary School, Lao Cai Province on September 9, 2026.
Once in operation, the systems will provide clean drinking water directly from the tap to 2,252 students and 149 teachers, staff, and school personnel.
Clean water is an essential need and an important foundation for children’s healthy development. However, in many schools in remote and disadvantaged areas, students and teachers still lack regular access to safe drinking water.

The RO filtration systems are designed to provide safe drinking water that meets 11 physicochemical and 5 microbiological parameters under Vietnam’s Ministry of Health standards. Access to safe drinking water can help reduce the risk of waterborne and gastrointestinal diseases, supporting the health and well-being of students and school staff.

Speaking about the project, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of the Clean Water and Environment Impact program at Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise, said: “Every water filtration system installed is an investment in children’s health and future. We greatly appreciate iSMART Education’s support in expanding access to safe drinking water for students across different communities. We hope that these practical improvements at schools today will give children better conditions to learn and grow, while also helping them develop greater awareness of protecting their health and the environment.”

Through the “Clean Water for Children” project, iSMART Education and Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise aim to create lasting value for schools and communities. Investing in certified drinking water systems helps improve learning conditions, protect students’ health, and contribute to safer educational environments in the long term.
