At the end of May, the Congenital Heart Defects Screening program organized by Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise arrived in Ha Tinh, bringing access to essential cardiac care services for children in the province.

Across four screening sites, the medical team examined 720 children, performed nearly 700 echocardiograms, identified 27 cases of congenital heart defects, and determined that 15 children would require further intervention and treatment.

Many children in Ha Tinh’s rural and mountainous communities still face challenges in accessing specialized healthcare services. Each screening trip provides an opportunity for children to receive comprehensive heart examinations, detect potential heart conditions early, and receive timely medical guidance.

This program is part of a fundraising campaign on the MoMo platform to support congenital heart screenings for thousands of children in Ha Tinh and Quang Tri. Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise sincerely thanks the MoMo community and generous donors whose contributions have helped more children receive a heart screening at least once in their lives, enabling early diagnosis and timely access to treatment.
