According to Vietnam’s Ministry of Health, 85% of children born with complex congenital heart defects will not reach their 18th birthday without timely surgery. Early screening plays a critical role in detecting these conditions, giving children the chance to grow up healthy and enjoy school and play like their peers.
Since 2023, Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise has organized multiple free heart screening missions in underserved areas, helping tens of thousands of children access early diagnosis and opening pathways to timely treatment for those in need of surgery.
Continuing this journey, Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise, in partnership with medical teams and the MoMo Super App, is launching a congenital heart screening program for thousands of children in Hà Tĩnh and Quảng Trị — aiming to detect conditions early, provide medical consultations, and connect children to life-saving treatment.
