On 31 May, 2026, more than 3,000 runners, supporters, donors, families, and volunteers came together at The Global City (Binh Trung Ward) on Sunday morning for the Children’s Cancer Run (CCR), demonstrating a powerful show of solidarity for children battling cancer across Vietnam.

Organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CanCham Vietnam), the 2026 CCR brought together the community to raise awareness and support for the VinaCapital Foundation’s Can-Clover Program and the Vietnam Children’s Fund Social Enterprise’s Kare Program. Both organizations mobilize resources to support pediatric oncology services and help ease the financial and emotional burdens faced by children with cancer and their families.

Companies from the Canadian and Vietnamese business communities – including VinaCapital, DanOn Foods, Canadian International School (CIS), Cocoon Vietnam, Crocodile Products, HSC, Protrade International Tech Park, and Sun Life Vietnam – provided generous support through sponsorships and in-kind donations to help make the event possible.
Meanwhile, celebrities including producer, director and actress Ngô Thanh Vân and her husband, entrepreneur Huy Trần, H’Hen Niê (Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 and Top 5 Miss Universe 2018), Đoàn Thiên Ân (Miss Grand Vietnam 2022), artist Ngọc Thanh Tâm, Hồng Đăng (2nd Runner-up Miss Universe Vietnam 2023), Lydie Vũ (Miss Supranational Vietnam 2024), and artist Long Nón Lá helped raise awareness online and encouraged their followers to participate in the event.

The CCR 2026 also featured live performances from singers Phương Vy and Lưu Hương Giang, alongside family-friendly activities including crafting, sculpting, coloring, and bead stringing.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by everyone who participated in this year’s run,” said Rad Kivette, CEO of the VinaCapital Foundation. “Behind every statistic is a child with dreams, hopes, and a future worth fighting for. Every step taken today sends a powerful message to children battling cancer and their families that they are not alone. When businesses, schools, families, and individuals come together in support of a shared cause, we can create meaningful change and bring hope to those who need it most.”

“I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved together today,” said Mike Hebert, Co-Chair of the Children’s Cancer Run Committee. “The success of the Children’s Cancer Run is the result of an extraordinary collective effort from our sponsors, partners, volunteers, medical teams, media supporters, and the thousands of participants who joined us this morning. Seeing more than 3,000 people come together for a shared cause demonstrates the strength of our community and the impact we can create when compassion is turned into action. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and support to help bring hope to children and families affected by cancer.”
