On June 22, artists Ngo Kien Huy and Sam joined the Scar Of Life team in visiting two children who had recently undergone successful heart surgeries at Cho Ray Hospital.

Behind their bright smiles lies a healing journey that has been anything but easy.

At just a few months old, little Trieu Man had to undergo a complex open-heart surgery to treat a congenital heart defect. Behind her cheerful smile is the story of a hardworking family from Ca Mau, where financial hardship made the road to treatment especially challenging.

For H’Keo, a young E De girl from Dak Lak, childhood has been marked by hospital visits, labored breathing, and persistent fevers. When doctors diagnosed her with Tetralogy of Fallot and pulmonary artery hypoplasia, her family was devastated. With only three small coffee fields to support the household, her parents struggled to afford even the cost of medical checkups. This was H’Keo’s second major heart surgery, made possible through the kindness and generosity of compassionate supporters.

Scar Of Life hopes the heartfelt conversations, thoughtful gifts, and warm presence of the two artists brought comfort, encouragement, and joyful memories to the children as they continue their recovery.

Scar Of Life extends our sincere gratitude to Ngo Kien Huy and Sam for their support through Jun Pham’s J-UNZIP Showcase. Their generosity helped make life-saving heart surgeries possible for these two children and brought renewed hope to families fighting every day for a healthier future for their little ones.
