In many remote regions, the infant and maternal mortality rates remain high due to limited healthcare and a lack of medical equipment. Understanding this, STARMED Pharmaceutical Group Joint Stock Company has joined hands with the Vietnam Children’s Fund to donate neonatal medical equipment to Meo Vac District General Hospital, contributing to saving the lives of newborns, pediatric children in this area.

Meo Vac is a mountainous district in Ha Giang due to challenging geographical conditions, many ethnic minority mothers must travel long distances or even give birth at home without the support of medical staff, leading to unfortunate outcomes such as hemorrhaging, infections, premature births, and low birth weight. The challenges go beyond geography, with outdated customs causing many young girls, whose bodies are not fully developed, to face significant risks during pregnancy and childbirth. The infant and maternal mortality rates in highland areas remain high, leaving both physical and emotional scars on mothers and their children. Each piece of donated medical equipment carries immense significance, providing a healthy start for babies, hope for families, and contributing to the development of the community.

The signing ceremony took place on August 26, 2024. Follow the journey of bringing medical equipment to children in remote areas on our Vietnam Children’s Fund fanpage!
